Btw I asked my company for a MacBook Pro as work device. It’s absolutely silent, because it’s fan free and hooked up to my 49“ ultrawide monitor. But as I said in another comment I only use the device to connect remotely to other devices, so I don’t need much power locally.

I never understood why someone would want this. I would never want to use my personal pc for work. They give me a device, install everything for me and I just work with it while not having to deal with anything. I see that like a company’s car. You drive it and don’t have to deal with it in any other way. Isn’t that great?

I carry the cybertool L on a daily basis for 2 years now. I love this thing and couldn’t imagine leaving the house without it. Even at home I often carry it in my pocket as it comes in handy that often around the house. I use the knife, pliers, scissors and bit driver the most, but I even had many usecases for the file and saw in the last years. Once I was spontaneously helping my mother changing here offices floor (click vinyl). The saw and file were live savers as my mother didn’t have the right tools around and made it possible to work faster and more precise than I could have ever imagined. The bit driver is perfect for every task I used it for (only downside is that it’s not placed in the middle, that makes it a bit unhandy sometimes. But it gets the job done). To sum up, this SAK feels like having a whole toolbox with you all the time, making it feel like being prepared for everything everytime!

I don’t know any of these apps and I don’t know if they are used in Europe too, but if I really have to use some of these apps (and I understand that can absolutely happen), there will be an old/cheap phone laying around with these apps installed, they won’t be on my primary phone.

This is the way. I had a story in WhatsApp for 3 months every day with a picture that I am going to fully switch to Signal and Threema and won’t be available over WhatsApp anymore. As you said, people who want something from me will have to jump over their shadow and write me over one of those. And it absolutely worked, took some time, but it worked. Some people even have signal installed only to text me. The rest just calls or sends SMS. I am from Europe btw. and it worked even though WhatsApp is so strongly used over here.

I am so looking forward to my daughters to become students. Definitely going to discuss this topic through with every person I have to. I am so not going to use WhatsApp or whatever similar software again. If there’s no other solution, they can call me or write a letter :D

I carry a cybertool L (with pliers) and a knipex cobra. I use the cybertools pliers for small stuff where I need some more precision. The cobra is used for heavier stuff as it isn’t as precise as the cybertools pliers while being able to put more force on using them.

I tried multiple EDC Pouches. One very similar to the one you ordered. And I don’t like any quite much. I do have one with some tools to enhance my carry, but it normally sits in my car or my backpack depending on the carry of the day.
