  • I’ve had the best luck so far with easy diffusion for doing home rolled ai porn. It comes with the stable diffusion 1.5 model and despite its name, it actually has the largest selection of settings I’ve seen in a self hosted one. Not interested in using something not self hostable. Results aren’t too great but better than nothing. I’ve made a handful of good full frontal nudity ones. I have not experimented with lora or other easy diffusion compatible models. I’ve had absolutely no luck with getting controlnet to do anything in a satisfactory level of quality besides the wiki examples. It might just be because I don’t know what I’m doing that well though.

If anyone has a better idea that involves self hosting only, be sure to comment because I doubt that what I’m doing the best that can be done.

  • Modern system requirements are such a scam. Like come the fuck on. 2005 graphics were good enough. Textures. Meshes. Uv mapping. Directional lighting. Do they really have to make it so hard?

Please stop fucking making everything need a fucking supercomputer. Oh boy I can’t wait for the next time developers decide my shit is last gen so I have to replace my perfectly good gpu just for the new one to melt my cables and overheat itself to death 4 years later.

Aren’t we supposed to be fighting climate change or something? Make games work on way less computing power. For. Fuck. Sake.

  • My 2 cents is that you usually need an unlocked bootloader so you can load xposed and get privacy apps that spoof or block certain permissions per app. That is the unconditional indispensable killer feature for me. Sure, using this stuff isn’t 100% bulletproof but I’m at the very least making my information more expensive to harvest and at most making it so that governments and corporations have to hire actual/better hackers to steal my info.

  • In my experience, on Windows a lot of old stuff runs as long as you have whatever registry setting enabled that lets you run non 64 bit programs. This isn’t available on every windows pc but if you’re running it on your home pc, you can probably get it. A lot of old games don’t work but old things that don’t use graphics almost always run.

In wine, it’s basically the same story. A lot of old stuff runs especially non graphical old stuff. Some old windows games don’t work on wine but just because something old doesn’t work on Windows doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t work on wine and vice versa.
