When I was a kid, the first PC game I played was Civilization 1 and it came with 4 floppy discs, so less then 10 MB. Some years later it seemed crazy to me that most games come on a CD-ROM disk and require 650 MB of space. Now I am playing games that ask for 100 GB and it seems fine to me.

I recently tried to replay some games of my childhood. I’ve tried Dune II, Sid Meier’s Civilization and Alpha Centauri and I couldn’t play them because the UI is too dated, but Fallout an Fallout 2 are still great, 27 years later.

I am still furious about the 2014 Dungeon Keeper mobile game.

I was a fan of the original games and I thought that making it a mobile game was a great decision. Until 2014 I lived under a rock and didn’t know about micro transactions. When I tried to play it it said that I need to wait 5 minutes or pay some fake money that I can buy with real money I just stared at my phone for a long time in disgust and uninstalled it.

Thank you EA for ruining my favorite childhood game.

I’m a huge metalhead and bass is really the most important frequency in metal. But I hate the sound of my favorite bands in bass-forward headphones like Beats. I never could understand why people like to hear the music in a sound that’s different than the one your favorite band intended it to be. I love flat headphones, but it’s so hard to find them nowadays.
