Recall is local
Even then, do you know how many companies use Microsoft for everything including their most confidential data? You live in a foss bubble if you believe regular people/companies don’t trust Microsoft to reasonable degree.

And I don’t think you understand OPs point. Of course you should be paranoid as a person like that, but most users aren’t targets. If you, as a regular user, get this paranoid about using computers, maybe you should evaluate your priorities.
Because it’s easy and free, GitHub has great static page hosting
The gameplay is amazing, endgame has a few options and very rewarding gear acquisition mechanics. Currently the steam reviews are getting bombed because of server issues since release, which are getting better everyday. The foundational mechanics are great, class/mastery have room for additions and the faction system allows for different endgame focus areas.
I would highly recommend the game to anyone feeling overwhelmed by PoE or bored by Diablo.
You fool, you don’t put containers and lids together, ever! You need a container cupboard and a lid drawer on opposite sides of the kitchen.
Doesn’t have to be a line, might just be the last straw
Well you could start by regulating the major US companies since those are the root of the issue described here. The internet as an abstract space is perfectly fine because there are enough independent providers for the required services to use or host on the internet. It’s the few that abuse.
get premium with Indian vpn for 1€/month, get browser extension to skip all BS segments like intros, outros, sponsorships or whatever -> enjoyable experience
You didn’t offend me, but you also didn’t really clarify what you actually want/need which made me think you just wanted to complain 🤷♂️ steam works and it’s way better than all of the alternatives. While you might find solutions for just managing games, nothing offers the level of “just works” as steam input and proton in Steam.

disable cloud sync? I don’t understand really get what you are actually complaining about. https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/68D2-35AB-09A9-7678#enabling
Nobara is great, based on fedora so very stable and fairly up to date with many built in gaming features and no after install setup required to get gaming. https://nobaraproject.org/
Running it for over a year now on my gaming rig and very happy
Ridiculous statement. 100-110fps is far above playable. Do people forget how Witcher, Crysis and others ran on release?
Doesn’t matter, you are still effected by this issue since any images from communities you or anyone else on your instance follows get cached on your server, doesn’t matter if you actually looked at them or not. I would advise you to look into this if you are the instance admin and didn’t know this by now.
scenenzbs is great, also has many files with English+German audio, marked as DL or dual language.
Depending on power prices in your country I would take that into strong consideration, while some server or desktop grade hardware might be technically very good, they often have high idle power consumption without offering greater functionality.
Take a look at this German Forum Post: https://www.hardwareluxx.de/community/threads/die-sparsamsten-systeme-30w-idle.1007101

Yeah I didn’t mean gps as in navigation, Inreach is a dedicated satellite communicator. I meant I wouldn’t trust an iPhone for emergency communication if I plan to go somewhere extremely remote
Or you know, just get a dedicated gps device like Inreach for a a few hundred $ one time + gps plan as you need. I wouldn’t rely on my iPhone for truly expedition like situations you actually plan for.
I don’t really understand who you are getting at here. Everyone I know uses this combined with regular ad blockers. Anyway, once they figure out how to properly inject ads into the stream blocking is going to get really hard.
