Yeah, I certainly won’t use any product associated with that muskrat.

I’ve been so tempted to make and sell custom flags printed with pro-Biden/LGBTQ themes, then have pro-trump messaging printed on top using a water-soluble ink so that these idiots would hang the flags proudly like they always do…only to have the flags change completely the first time it rains hahaha. I’d love to see them frantically trying to pull down a flag in a rainstorm hahaha
Few years older than you, decided not to have children after considering our healthcare, the climate, politics, etc. Why would I ever bring a child into this hell?
The wheels of justice grind slow but they grind eternal.
Jack smith and others have watched the games played by Chump’s lawyers over the years. They are crafting new charges based on how they anticipate the clown will play his cards (which lets be real, he never plays a new card aside from deny and deflect)
Someone else recently explained it best: It’s elderly abuse.
The entourage encircling these elderly congressional leaders are profiting greatly. As soon as these senators retire, these leeches lose nearly everything.
It’s a Weekend At Bernie’s movie plot, but with extra steps.
That’s what we need to do more often - mock these chuckfucks. Don’t get angry/irritated because that’s what they want, just point and laugh at them.

Oh I’m not disagreeing with you that it’s a bullshit reason - but I can bet that some penny pincher accountant working at McDonalds proved the company could save $X million (single digit lol) if they did this change. Never forget how a dude working for American Airlines in the 1980’s figured out that removing one olive from each salad in first class would save over $40k per year.
The more tactile, the better I say. The clickity clack is just an added bonus.

Friend of mine lives within walking distance of the gas station where he was just spotted. She’s on lockdown, helicopters flying overhead, schools are closed for the day, etc
Cool - forcing ads into the start menu, forcing edge on users. Guess like Win10 is where I leave windows forever.
I downloaded Mandrake Linux back in 1992. I’ve always fiddled with linux over the years but could never fulfill all my needs. But things have changed recently. I’ve started using ChatGPT to help me when I hit roadblocks with Linux, and it’s REALLY helped work around the various barriers that have kept me from fully adopting linux. Honestly, I am looking forward to switching entirely over to Linux for my business - I’m tired of Windows. And I’ve been here since Win3.1!!
Well cool, I hope it does. I’m not a hardcore gamer, but the Nintendo Switch interested me for the occasional mario kart session. But all the Joycon drama scared me off from buying one. I’ll hold out for a few more years before splurging - I’m in no rush, I rarely game or watch television anyway lol
TL/DR - they’re using mini solar tower collectors to concentrate and collect sunlight to charge PV panels. This produces a lot of excess heat (enough to melt steel) - the heat is pumped away via water into an underground vault where the heat is stored until the evening where the heat is converted back into electricity using conventional off-the-shelf materials and hardware.
I haven’t done much with Excel and Word these days, but I have not had a single issue opening standard documents. The PDF import capabilities for LibreDraw work reasonably well. Many MANY years ago I fiddled with OpenOffice and then LibreOffice before moving to Office365 for a while.
Now I’m back to LibreOffice for the past 5+ years and haven’t had any complaints
Yeah, weather patterns are shifting everywhere. The thing to remember is that “climate” is a measurement of weather over time.
Humans can adapt easier than plants to climate change - we can move to different locations while plants are basically stuck unless we humans relocate them. The growing zones where people can grow different fruits/vegetables/herbs is changing. Sometimes too rapidly and even humans can’t keep track of what they can/should grow (and when to plant it). It’s now getting too hot in some regions for even tropical trees/plants to grow using photosynthesis (https://www.sciencenews.org/article/leaves-tropical-forests-photosynthesis-heat-limit) .
So while the local weather may be feeling different and you could possibly start growing different plants in your region, there’s no guarantee that the weather patterns will be the same in five years.
In my own region people are pushing growing zones, growing exotic tropical plants outdoors most of the year then protecting them from harsher weather. Heck I found a guy who is successfully growing a slightly cold-tolerant variety of edible bananas (called blue java) in North Carolina!! No way that would have been possible 100 years ago. Or another example - Cocoa Florida was too cold to grow cocoa beans back when the town was originally founded, but the climate has now warmed up enough that people are starting to grow real cocoa trees in Cocoa! hahaha. (yes, I geek out about weird sh!t like zone-pushing edible plants lol).
As I keep reminding people “At the start of every disaster movie, there’s a scientist being ignored”
Lol, oh sweet child. You have much to learn about what a corporation says, and what they’re forced to do by government regulations. Without them, corporations can (and will) do anything they want for the sake of more profits.
Unfortunately, with a country run by a bunch of geriatrics who hardly understand the concept of the “internet” and hardware/software, let alone the nuances of different social media platforms or how different communities within the internet interact.
I avoided chrome for a long time. Finally I made the switch because FF was getting too slow on old computers back in the day. Lasted for maybe five or six years before I started getting some bad vibes. Why am I letting google run the web browsing software I’m using? This can’t/won’t be good in the future.
At least five years ago I made the switch back to Firefox, and haven’t looked back. I love having adblocking that works (I use a router level ad block and ublock origin just in case to ensure I block almost every ad on the internet lol).
I’m honestly surprised it took people this long to decide to move away from Chrome.
I know someone who made some money on bitcoin (enough to ‘retire’ in his 30’s) - he’s proud of his NFT collection and even has a large print of one of those dumb apes which he owns lol.
I don’t hear him talking much about cryptos and such these days. (Instead I hear a lot more about how it’s “over” for Ukraine any day now, lol)
