Looks like I’m going to die then, because I’m not stopping my milk consumption. GAYMILK4LYFE 2 LITRES A DAY MINIMUM, BROTHER.

You shouldn’t be getting downvotes for this. But I have found almond milk tastes cardboardish, not oatmilk. Oatmilk it very creamy and goes excellent with coffee and cereal. I’ve found it’s ok in tea (I’m not a big tea drinker).

Maybe the brand you’ve tried? I switched from dairy milk to oat milk a couple years ago after trying most of the other plant milks. I find it to be almost a perfect match to dairy milk in cereal and coffee. I don’t use it for anything else.

What brand of milk alternative do you recommend for coffee? I’ve tried a couple of what my grocery store stocks and one that I ordered online (strive free milk plain and barista version) but none of them seem to replicate what the fat in dairy does to take the edge off of plain coffee / espresso.

Usually I use a mix between heavy cream and half & half with espresso and if I accidentally get fat free half & half (especially if I don’t use heavy cream with it) then I can’t stand the bitterness / acidity of the espresso or coffee (if I’m making regular coffee instead).

I prefer Oatley’s Barista edition. Has a creamy and a bit nutty flavour that goes great in coffee and (strong black) tea.

So keep drinking milk if you want to build up immunity to it. This is not medical advice and idk if it works but pasteurization kills the virus in the milk.
