Anything by Robin Wall Kimmerer, notably Braiding Sweetgrass (most popular) and Gathering Moss (my fav) Changes in the Land: Indians, Colonists and the Ecology of New England by William Cronon (Love this one; it is a classic) Nature’s Ghosts: The world we lost and how to bring it back by Sophie Yeo (She refs people I know and like irl) The Mushroom at the End of the World: On the Possibility of Life in Capitalist Ruins by Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing A Sand County Almanac: And Sketches Here and There by Aldo Leopold Otherlands: A World in the Making by Thomas Halliday Also, check out Crime Pays, But Botany Doesn’t, a great podcast.
