Drag spoke to the mods of that community and they decided that the ban for encouraging suicide wasn’t justified, because drag didn’t actually encourage suicide.

Then they changed their minds for secret reasons they wouldn’t tell drag.

Drag suspects it might be related to that one guy who created an alt account to harass himself and pinged all his friends, so all his friends would think he was being harassed. He thought that trans people existing was an attempt to offend him.

Anyway, please don’t spread false rumours about drag having any banned alt accounts. Drag only has the one alt at lemmy.world, and drag hardly uses it. And in any case, this is a meme community, not the place to bring drama.

I see where drag is coming from, but saying “don’t commit suicide, kill other people and die in battle instead!” also isn’t very… ‘positive’ for lack of a better word.

This was in the days after Donald Trump won the election, when everyone was already hopeless. Drag reminded the hopeless people that we need to stand up and fight instead of laying down and doing Trump’s job for him.

That poster refers to themselves as such and will harass and villainize anyone who doesn’t do so

The way you can tell it’s in bad faith isn’t that they have preferred pronouns, but that drag insists on referring to dragself in the third person.

I don’t refer to myself as he or him. It’s I or me.

Referring to oneself in the third person is universally cringe, regardless of pronoun.
