Anyone moving their community from Reddit to Lemmy, please could you take the chance to dispose of the silly habit of using “porn” to refer to anything interesting?
We’re not on some profit driven page view dopamine binge here, whatever happened to just c/Aircraft ? If it’s too boring for people I wonder how they cope in a library. Or maybe everything needs to get labelled “Awesome” there too like we’re all 12?
There’s a difference. The “porn” suffix was used to indicate it was a pictures/videos of cool and interesting instances of the thing. I’d expect AircraftPorn to be mostly images of cool planes, whereas Aircraft would be more like a forum for people to discuss their new Cessna.
