I’d go a step further than that - MBAs who not only contract dev out to India but go the cheapest route. I’ve worked with both fantastic teams over there and teams that do more harm than good: the difference is what that MBA was looking for. There’s a lot of great engineers and you can build a great team if that’s what you care about. However you won’t get it by looking for the cheapest contractor in the cheapest country

For me. That’s usually autocorrect. If it decides a typo such as accidenta double-space means the end of one sentence, then capitalizes a word, it’s below my threshold to go back and fix. You shouldn’t be confused by random. Apitalization and letter skips from autocorrect, but I’ll correct it when it’s autocorrect sped to to something. Different like this last sentence where it looks like I’m having a stroke

Priority is guidance from the user. The maintainer always has the decision how they’ll respond. You could have said you don’t have time, you could have said it’s on my queue to look at later, you could have said you don’t provide support.

Ok, this time I read the full ticket, so ….

• They used the software in compliance with provided license
• opened a bug report on the provided system
• cooperate with the maintainer to diagnose
• then when it was user error, they asked where they should have found the doc?
• then some asshole pasted a huge graphic in the bug report demanding money

I love to hate on Microsoft too, but I only see one asshole here

• there’s a bug tracker, which they used for a bug report
• OP demanded money when there was no expectation of it

So what’s going on here? With the information given, Microsoft did what they should have and OP is acting the huge asshole

I see articles up to 2022 talking about it shrinking, healing on the predicted timeframe. 2023 is a huge outlier, possibly caused by a volcano, but there’s variability every year. That doesn’t mean it’s growing again
