I have a cabinet full of empty jars. Mostly mason jars. It slowly fills as I finish a jar of jam or something I canned last year, and in September and October when it’s time to make new batches I’ll fill the jars again.
What do you do with glass bottles?
Lots of things
Store things in them.
I started dehydrating food to make snacks and i wish i had a collection of nice jars. I take whatever empty glass containers i can get my hands on.
Same, I used them for Drinking glasses, storage, leftovers, you name it, handy to have around.
They’re not empty, they’re full of possibilities
I feel so seen and validated.
This is why my roommate hates me. I keep every jar I use, hoard plastic jugs because I think I’ll eventually recycle them, and keep shipping boxes under my bed.
I have a collection of small cardboard boxes, like they are perfect for small gifts. I’ve only ever used 3, but I still collect them because they have potential
They are the future.
I had to stop my SO from hoarding jars but I hoard other stuff. Like that one paperclip.
Why do I like paperclips soooo much😭
I have like 40 empty prescription bottles in my sock drawer
My wife wondering why I kept all of her fancy pudding cups, I dunno, they have potential
I’ll have you know that I put soap in those!
Like, liquid soap or bar soaps? Is it for storage or?
Liquid soap batter. Due to allergies, I make my own soap and it makes a good amount. So I just store it in my jars until I need to make more. Then throw a weighted amount and 4x water in a different jar and simmer in boiling water until my soap is ready and can be scented.
You never know when you might need a nice jar
I keep my jars on a shelf right next to the drawer for stuff, you know, the drawer for rubber bands, shoelaces, scotch tape, meat skewers and other such treasures that I’m sure I’ll desperately need one day.
