Can’t the judge find him in contempt for this? I can’t think of a better reason for contempt than trying to influence the investigations by withholding funding.

Sure. But that just proves she’s political!

(In reality not doing so is political. Like how not knocking in his door with a full fbi tactical raid the moment the documents were discovered missing is inherently political.)

Waiting 2 years to prosecute this dipshit was political. They should have brought charges sooner. Instead, they drag their feet into election year, making it appear intentional.

Our government is so fucking incompetent. Dude admits to a crime openly and they still manage to fuck it up.

They should have indicted him right when he took his first step in to the White House door, for violating the Emoluments Clause. Fuckwad was a criminal from day 1, even ignoring the crimes committed before the election.

When you’ve racked up 91 federal charges like he has, what does he really have to lose at this point? He’s basically at the point of ‘Go for Broke’, there is no middle ground here. He’s either completely screwed or not at all.

Shouldn’t this result in more charges for obstruction and another RICO case if any Representatives go along with it?

If there’s one thing I want above all else taken away from him assuming he’s convicted, it’s luxury. Trump should be forced to live like he’s in an army barracks, or, well, a prison!

Personally I wish he could be tortured to death and kept alive for as long as possible with various stimulants and machines to ensure a long, long, long process.

Some people deserve it. Of course if it were legal, many who didn’t would get it.

Though it being illegal doesn’t stop the cops from doing it. Just look up all the news about people showing up at the ER instead of booking when arrested, the literal torture warehouse uncovered recently, and the general fascistic nature of US cops… Not even talking about Guantanamo or the military.

If you want the constitution to be adhered to, you already have work to do.

Well yeah, duh. But that doesn’t mean we stop trying to do better. People are saying “do the right thing”, and you’re saying “people already fucked up though” like it’s some sort of, I don’t know, excuse to not care about doing the right thing this time. Maybe, just maybe, if we can prove even the highest level crooks go to jail, we can shake the idea that “In America that there’s no point in doing anything because it’s already shit.”.

I’m not saying let the fucker free. Lock him up til he dies. Prison rations. Solitary confinement. But if we torture, and excuse it because THIS TIME WE’RE SURE, and “it must be alright because the bad guys also tortured”, then we’ve only made a more torturous union.

Yeah I don’t want to go to jail for overthrowing the government so let me go and sabotage the government to avoid just that…

Meanwhile, if I steal a bread and try to run I’ll get shot in the back.

    Awesome difference

I’m reading this from a different stand point…

I think that he believes that there will be a shutdown anyways so that in his mind he can claim credit for the shutdown.

As in, I told them to shut it down and they did. Look how powerful I am.

Oh yeah, it’s like how I convinced my nieces and nephews I control traffic lights. I see the timer on the crosswalk counting down and then I say “It’s turning green” or something like that and then it does. They were mystified until they turned like, 8.

If you’re familiar with the light cycles, it’s pretty easy to time it within a second or two just by paying attention to who currently has a green and who’s coming to a stop.

That should keep them impressed a few more years. Quite a few if they turn out to be a terrible driver!

That’s not a wrench; dear god, these headlines.

Donald Trump demanded they use the opportunity to “defund” Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team.

That’s not how any of this works, lol. This idiocy will be denied like all similar gambits he’s flailed into under the advice of incompetent counsel.

It’s two hours since they hit the iceberg, and they’ve commandeered all available lifeboats. Many are taking on water. Some of them are bailing frantically, some are taking the opportunity to stick their hands up the skirts of women trying to bail water or vomiting over the side, and some are boring more holes or denying they’re in a lifeboat to begin with.

Meanwhile, though they can all see the rescue ship right in front of them, trump is facing the opposite way, demanding they row away from help because he knows better. McCarthy dressed as a woman to board the first lifeboat, but he’s been discovered and is trying desperately to explain why he should be there.

I’ve tortured this metaphor enough, but the ship has sunk and we’re witnessing the cutthroat mess as survivors begin fighting each other for space on the door. It’s sad and frightening in equal measure.

He hates Qevin McCarthy. Imminent govt shutdown will be a lose-lose situation for Qevin: either face prolonged shutdown to appease the nut jobs or pass the budget with the help of Dems and get booted by FreeDumb cucks.

Trump is simply taking credit for of Kevin’s inevitable downfall and making it all about himself, as usual.

I find it scary but humorous that this guy is still allowed freedom under a double standard to keep the system stable, and yet every minute he is free only serves to destabilize the system.

I don’t know why any working class Americans would have faith in their justice system anymore. It exists almost exclusively to oppress them.
