How else will Jesus return unless those Satanic Muslims get driven out of the Holy Land so God can throw all of the Christ-Killing Jews into Hell?

I like that they think Jesus has a bunch of requirements to show up like they’re doing a summoning and that the result is the end of the world… and they WANT to cause that, because they think they’ll get to live forever because God chose them to be special so long as they try to make everyone live like them against their wills.

      Maaaaybe they’re a cult.

Completing an ancient ritual to become immortal/gain the power of a god(s) is the plan of the main villain of so much fiction, it’s a trope. If I had the time to throw away, I’d go into TV Tropes and find it

Apparently, one of the requirements is “all the Jews convert to Christianity.” I guess I’m holding off Armageddon by refusing to convert. You’re welcome.

Unsurprisingly, Bellingcat has “confirmed” exactly none of this and whoever made the video has no connection to the BBC. The more interesting part is who’s been spreading this bit of low-rent fraud—and why.

The claim has spread like wildfire and been boosted by at least one MAGA Republican, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). Relatedly, Donald Trump, Jr. pushed the conspiracy theory that Hamas’ weapons were supplied by the Taliban, after being abandoned by the U.S. military when it withdrew from Afghanistan in 2021. (There is no evidence for either of these claims.)

Trust MTG and the orange kumquat’s sperm to jump on the shitpost bandwagon asap … cause they have nothing better to do with their useless lives.

What’s hilarious is that we know that Donnie Bonespurs handed the Russians Israeli secrets. Handing those secrets to Iran would have helped Putin tremendously. The GOP shafted its best friend.

Russia’s been working with Iran for a while, buying arms for Ukraine. I wouldn’t be surprised if Putin shared intel with Iran which may have made it to Hamas.

Hamas was in Moscow multiple times this and last year. He could give it to them directly.

Russia also has (or should I perhaps say had given recent events) quite cordial relations with Israel. For example, Russia bought Israeli drones and used them in Ukraine. Also still have visa free travel and there was even talk of a customs union IRC. Israel was also hesitant to sell weapons to Ukraine, because they didn’t want to annoy Russia.

Russia’s been playing both sides for years now. I think the problem is that they need Iran more than Israel right now, so Putin can’t even manage to openly condemn Hamas.

Of course, this whole thing helps distract the US from Ukraine and possibly diverts weapons/munitions. That’s good for Russia.

But it also damages relations with Israel, which IRC is also a large importer of Russian oil. That’s bad for Russia.

It possibly undermines the nascent treaty between Israel and Saudi Arabia. That’s good for Russia.

But China helped broker a deal between Saudi Arabia and Iran, and this threatens to undermine that deal and embarrass Xi. That’s bad for Russia.

But uncertainty and the scuttling of a deal between SA and the US, will raise oil prices. That’s good for Russia.

But if Iran feels that a war with Israel is increasingly likely, they’ll be forced to send less weaponry/drones to Russia. When this is done, and given Israel has clearly decided to stop pretending to give a fuck that’s likely to sooner rather than later, they will be annoyed by Russia’s stance and more likely to send more stuff to Ukraine. That’s bad for Russia.

          Etc. etc. etc.

TLDR clusterfuck. I wouldn’t be surprised that you’re right and that Russia helped Iran. They do seem to like shooting themselves in the foot and taking stupid gambles.

I’m not sure that Russia had a hand in this attack. Even if they didn’t, though, I’m sure they’re working overtime with their disinformation network and “friends” in the Republican party to spread the narrative that the US needs to immediately stop all support for Ukraine and send everything to help Israel.
