What would be the benefits of this over Nextcloud, apart from not having to set it up?
I just assume now that any content or data that I make available to a company will be exploited by them. So I don’t do it. It’s pretty sad to be honest. I want to keep things special and share with the people I know and love but I can’t do it without also sharing with others at the same time, who cheapen and abuse it. Intimacy, trust and shared experience as a core part of human life is being erased and I don’t think anyone is really even noticing it happen to them.
Pray nobody knocks over an ashtray on that.
It sounds from the article like some EDL members walked in off the street for a drink, as opposed to booking it out for their meeting/rally. I can see why the bar manager chose not to refuse service or kick them out - he might have got his head kicked in by a drunk mob of thugs after all. Still, sacking an asian employee for being freaked out by them was uncalled for, even if she was swearing.
Either way, their beer is overpriced.
I saw a youtuber once reviewing the distro that the Russian military uses. It had some crusty retro desktop environment iirc.
Purely from the point of view of a museum visitor it’s a unique and exceptional experience being able to see so much of the worlds history and culture in one place. But at the same time it takes away something that could be really special about travelling to another country because that’s the only place where these things are on display.
I like it. Especially being able to maintain and repair it with common tools.
No need for that tone old bean.
I heard that some employers are having to teach new ‘gen z’ employees how to download email attachments…
This is basically why I don’t buy anything that I don’t think I can protect from being fucked with.
That’s all ownership is really.
Any company that tells you to ‘get used’ to something has massively overstepped the mark.
People you buy things from are not your boss.
Unless you are addicted to them, in which case they are.
Excellent resource. Thanks for sharing!
That looks flawless. Good work 👍
I’ve always thought that when an organisation. finally evolves to feed on plastic it gonna be something like this.
I’d prefer that climate change happens abruptly rather than gradually so that we take as many insurers down with us as possible.
I’m very intrigued by Guix. What would a Debian stable user notice most if they were to switch?
I wish I could donate to more novelists directly via their websites. I tend to pirate ebooks because I don’t want a) the fuss of removing the DRM and b) to bankroll the destruction of the economy for 99% of people by giving money to big companies.
Lol
