11 months agoPunk isn’t a genre, it’s a lifestyle. Somewhere in the 90s people, including the artists themselves, mistook it only as a musical genre.
The 1975 is punk imo, even though they dont fit the genre.

2·11 months agoAs a proud and loud member of the FOSS community, I will say this: The FOSS community is cringe as hell and people need to start going back to the root of the movement and remember that we are about CHOICE and FREEDOM.
If you’re judging somebody for using the platform of their choice, FOSS or not, you are the problem.

Tbh, I think this whole thing is being blown out of proportion. Part of FOSS and the internet in general is the ability to have choice over what you use and spend your time with. Just because Sync is out, doesn’t mean you can’t continue to use your FOSS apps. It just means that we now have an option for people who want to pay for a very polished experience.
That’s cool! I used to work in a bookstore but always felt like it was trying to put a price on reading. Library would feel a lot homier for me I feel. Thank you for what you do! If it weren’t for Libraries as a kid I probably would have never fallen in love with reading.
I’m at the airport right now, about to leave for a week long vacation to Hawaii! I’ve never been before so it’ll be a super fun way to celebrate my one year anniversary with my wife!

If you’ve heard their work, and understood who wrote it, you would know that Matty Healy is not a white supremacist. He’s just a fucking idiot with a shit sense of humor. Kinda tired of people framing people as extremists when they made a few problematic remarks on a couple podcasts at worst.
