As someone who lives in the PNW that PNW clued me in.

You know what’s kind of funny. Both my parents identify as Gen X. Both of them are actually Baby Boomer’s. With the pre-requisite feral children. But I’m a millennial and it’s kind of funny that having grown up basically a feral child my generation doesn’t get to claim that.

I seem to remember motorola having a phone awhile back (2016?) that had basically a magsafe battery pack that would just lay on the back of it. And a speaker and such. It was gimmicky given how uncomfortable the naked phone would be to hold in your hand, but it was cool that such a thing was possible.

Is this the same sensor they use on their pixel tablet?

If the size of the pixel 9 is good I’ll upgrade. Other than that I’m good.

Other platforms exist. I’m sure they’ll be fine.

If we used billboards for something like missing children or traffic announcements etc I’d be okay with that. But pretty much no actual ads for products. Billboards are a driving distraction and I don’t approve.

Whatever floats your boat. But EMS recommends against inserting things that don’t have a flared base. Do with that information whatever you want.

The thing is, if I want something I’ll go looking for it. At the point where I’m looking for it or something like it, I am happy to consume ads even tangentially related to that thing. If analytics marketing worked this way (showing me relevant ads when I’m shopping for something, even if it’s for something I am not actively looking for), things would be better. But ads have worked their way into the cracks of everything and that’s my problem with them.

I hate Billboards. I don’t like circulars (waste of paper and generally too much trash), I hate junk mail and I think it’s predatory. Popups (singing, flashing, scrolling when I scroll to stay on the page, tiny exit buttons, video, etc) are garbage.

Trump would kill himself in a week. Vetinari wouldn’t even have to do anything except talk to his dog during the debate. Vetinari would even put through a request the the Assassins guild to make sure the price to beat was too high to have him assassinated. Just to make a point.

Isn’t there a new 9th planet we can’t see yet but we have detected because of it’s gravitational pull on things around it?

It’s free with my YouTube music sub. I was grandfathered into the cheapest price from the Google play music launch. I like a lot of tech and science videos and I watch YouTube for that. Worth it to me.

Depends on who you are probably. But a poor person who’s only access to the Internet is via smart phone might beg to differ. This also might matter if you do taxes on paper rather than using an online service (paid or free). When you file digitally and supply a bank account you absolutely will receive a tax return pretty expediently unless you get audited. But if you file a paper tax return by snail mail and are expecting a check? Different story. What if they never received your return? What if it was lost in the mail? What if the check gets lost in the mail?

I also have an app for tolls in my state, and the VA. I’m just pointing out that not all government apps are terrible and I can’t. Certainly understand why some people would want or need to use them.
