This seems to have worked, got my desktop back. I did fsck on something like /dev/sda9 then answered yes to fix a bunch of things. Thanks for your help.

Possibly - the laptop battery died and the first thing when turning it on was to set system time in BIOS. But it’s not the first time doing that, just the first time it didn’t boot afterwards.
I think the West Edmonton Mall comes pretty close at 5.3 million square feet. I remember seeing dolphins in there.
C’mon Greg, don’t you wanna be cool 😈
Aheeem excuse me buddy, where the hell do you think you’re going? You left some ITEMS in your CART. You get back here right now and complete your purchase. Don’t make me tell you twice!
No. A little selfish and lazy sometimes, but not what I would consider bad.
They want you to feel heard, and then feel personally responsible for the incessant call volume.
“Sony MDRXB55AP Wired Extra Bass Earbud Headphones/Headset with Mic for Phone Call, Black”
Biggest pieces of shit I have ever disgraced my ears with. I’m not even an audiophile or a gear snob or anything. These were just so ridiculously bad that it was offensive. I’ve owned earbuds from the dollar store that sounded better than these.
There are thousands and thousands of discord servers you can join without any invite. Try searching disboard.org to find a server for your game, or check YouTubers descriptions, many have one you can join. You’re not the only person I’ve heard complain about discord being difficult to learn. It does get easy, especially if you can find someone to help you join a voice chat or something.
Depending on the game you might have built in chat. I have made friends with random people I gamed with, and we continued for years.
That’s its “serious movie poster” face
How do you define “a loving relationship”? Do you only want answers from people who are happy with their relationships 100% of the time?
I’m not disagreeing with your comment btw. I was speaking to your question about the title.
In the eyes of a renter, homeowners are rich. It’s (unfortunately) an amazing investment with a very high barrier to entry.
I don’t care if they are “gaming” specific, but I like PCs because they are more customizable /upgradeable
Yeah I did go a bit low. My actual rent is more than that.
Imagine paying over $1000 for rent every month, except that if you decide to move, you (theoretically) get that money back, and (likely) even more.
Now imagine that same $1000 going to someone else and you never see it again.
Depends on where the highway is. If it’s rural and away from big cities, it can be relaxing. If you’re trying to drive to / through Toronto, it’s a fucking nightmare. People will drive up your ass and cut you off then brake immediately, not let you into your exit lane which starts and ends with little notice, and the signage leading up to it was blocked by bumper to bumper traffic and big trucks. Yes, I am bitter about it.

Guitar is hard. It takes months or years of practice to even develop the finger strength and speed to play some things. I always had fun learning in my early teens, because I wanted to, even though I was terrible. Then after 2 or so years of playing every day it became really fun and I was able to get the ideas from my imagination to my fingers.
It’s like a lot of things worth learning - you have to really want it, and it’s never as easy as it appears.
