  • I know it’s a meme, but I can’t resist saying that if you check his website out, you’ll see he has all of his books and drafts available entirely for free and he also says he’s agreed with the publisher to cap the book’s price to something reasonable (which used to be true, I haven’t checked now).

He’s also nice in person, if you talk to him!

It’s too bad that the meme is right and his legacy will be not having given solution to any problem 😁

    Edit: fixed grammar

  • I stopped using Windows in 2008 (juggling between a mixture of Linux and Mac OS). One of the reasons, is that at that time I thought Windows was legitimately a mess.

Over time, I thought it got a bit better when seeing it on friends’s computers.

Due to laziness, Windows 11 got installed on my office computer (which I use 1% of my time) and I thought it was honestly pretty good (as in, I never thought about switching back, but it was fine to use it when necessary).

Now that they plug in ads, I’ll certainly want to switch back /s

  • I was scrolling down to see if anyone said this, since it’s been the case for me so far. I have to say lately I’ve seen a raise in unfriendliness (not referring towards me, but in general), but I suppose it’s inevitable.

I’m still really happy with how people interact with me and with each other, and I haven’t felt that on Reddit for a while (am referring to both pre APIcalypse and after, though I now visit Reddit rarely)

  • There’s one thing I haven’t read yet in the previous answers: after you s**t you still wipe your ass with toilet paper before using the bidet, and you do it pretty well too.

When you get to use the bidet, your butt is already pretty clean, but washing it with a bidet makes it entirely clean and feels really nice.

You use a towel right after using a bidet, which is why you see one hanging right by a bidet in most (if not all) bathrooms with a bidet. This prevents spraying water everywhere after you’re clean.

Also, when you use it once, you learn how strong you want your water stream to be, not to wet the whole bathroom. You do the same the first time you wash your dishes (if your faucet shoots water too strongly, you wet the kitchen beyond the sink)

Also: those who use bidet go through a rigorous training to master its practice and transmit it’s secrets orally to the next generation.

Bonus: Crocodile Dundee VS a bidet

  • I know this will irk some people but… Do you know why using Gmail or YouTube on Firefox feels slower on an Apple computer?

I use Firefox on Android exclusively, but on Apple computers I still use Chrome more since Firefox seems to either be slow on certain websites or use too much memory (I’m sure it’s not Mozilla’s fault here)

BTW I actually donate to Mozilla because I think it needs to survive (though it must be a drop compared to what Google pays Mozilla and I hope they keep doing it), but I’m not using Firefox all the time as I’d like, since the experience looks a tad worse on Desktop
