Starfox never did it for me like Space Harrier. I’m not sure why. The primitive 3D maybe. Space Harrier creature design is just plain bizarre and intriguing.
I love Space Harrier. There are a handful of other third-person, on-rails shooters (Sin and Punishment), but nothing recent that I’m aware of.
Also, Bangai O on Nintendo DS is insanely fun. I can’t think of any other games where slowdown is a necessary mechanic.
Hmm. Korean kids have recently started saying “skibidi”. Meaning it’s probably old hat by now. Old hat… that’s how old I am…
Sexy Parodius is a bit sketchy, yes. But, it’s easily the most-fun shmup I’ve ever played. The music is fantastic, too. I’ve managed to 1cc the game, but I’ve never beaten the bonus stage which is just so ridiculously difficult, I question whether it’s even possible without a very specific strategy or something.
Unfortunately, the best version is the arcade one, and MAME doesn’t do the best job with it. Still playable, though.
Fantastic food. Entirely too rapey.
Pop quiz: four of the top five most anticipated games are Doom, Gears of War, Perfect Dark, and Assassin’s Creed: what year is it?
My older sister was supposed to get my name, but she was a she. It would have been fairly unique at her age. I came along five years later and got it at the height of its popularity, as a result there were three of us in my grade six class.
Who can afford more than one armload of groceries at a time anymore?
I like that the alien has 4 fingers. Fitting!
The numbers between zero and one are where all of the fun is!
None! I live in Korea, and the local wildlife was long ago mostly displaced or eaten by the seething mass of humanity. Once upon a time, there were some cool bears and tigers even. There are some nice, big herons still around I suppose. Oh, some tiny deer, too.
Pseudoregalia. It’s a 3D platformer/Metroidvania that mimics PSX/N64 graphics. I’m only a couple hours in, but so far it’s fun. The controls are buttery smooth.
That’s fair. You can get a closer shave with more passes, but that’s hard on your skin as well. I can’t stand having too much stubble. It gets to a point where it itches like crazy. I pushed through the itchy phase once, and having a beard was alright, but I got some pretty crazy acne underneath it.
Razors are expensive,
They don’t have to be! Dual edge safety razor blades are like $10 for 100. You could splurge ($50 for a nice one, or hundreds for a really nice, probably unnecessarily expensive one) on a nice handle that will last you the rest of your life, or get just about as good a shave with one that costs $10. Heck, if you’re lucky you could find some old, nice one at a garage sale that’s already been around 70 years, and will easily still be working fine when you’re dead. Unfortunately, like just about everything else old and good, they’ve become a bit trendy, so it might be hard to find deals like you used to be able to.
Early periods, kids are tired. Late periods, kids are distracted because freedom is near.
Haha! Thanks. I don’t know about that. Some of it was actually fun. Recording on a plane was surprisingly cathartic.
Sorry to tell you that my particular location is pretty much irrelevant. Centipedes and roaches are just about everywhere. The further north you go, the safer you are.
We’ve got some pretty big centipedes around here, and they’re one of very few animals I slaughter ruthlessly without remorse. I have a hammer for the express purpose of braining them. Fuckers don’t need an excuse to bite you, they just do. And, they love bedsheets, clothes, etc. Ironically, we also have house centipedes, and they get a pass. They’re hideous, sure, but anything that eats cockroach eggs (another one I kill without remorse) is A-OK in my book.
I recently downsized from 2 to 1. NGL, I miss the second in some circumstances, but I also don’t miss the inclination to have YouTube or Netflix constantly open if I’m not using the second for anything else.
