Why are all of these humans miserable? What about the regular ones, ya know the ones who don’t care and just enjoy life.

you must be one of the lucky to be able to write that. You must be lucky enough to ignore that you’re lucky

That would be a new whole level of miserable! Since Elons great innovation is somewhat reusable rockets and hauling unnecessary constructionary materials is silly (especially so if it cost 50 billions usd to get one adult there), you would get to live in comfy hole in the ground!

Honestly…as long as I get to go to space, idc how awful it is. If I have to be enslaved to Musk just to see the stars for myself, then I’ll be a slave. It’s the one dream I’d do anything to fulfill, but unfortunately I was born with a couple of defects that prevented me from even having a chance as an astronaut. Sure, letting a crazy techno-fascist ignore safety regulations to setup interplanatary neo-feudalism is ostensibly bad, but I want off this rock so badly I’m willing to make a deal with any devil.

Anyone played The Outer Worlds? I expect that’s about what would happen if you joined Musk in colonizing another planet. i.e. a hypercapitalist (post-capitalist?) dystopia.
